Wednesday, September 12, 2018, the Bloomers girls held a fall gathering at their store on Main Street in Lusk. Activities included fall fashion being modeled from the clothing line that Bloomers Boutique carries, a decorative wood pumpkin painting activity, and a furniture sale. “We just wanted something fun to do. Everyone was ready for something fun,” stated Bloomers co-owner, Carrie Bannan of the evening’s events. Advertised to last from 4:30 to 8:00p.m., the store was filled with shoppers who took advantage of the new fall additions offered in the clothing line and some left over summer pieces. Outside, the trailer furniture sale was underway as unique pieces had found their way off the trailer and into the alley before new owners could take them home. Pieces of interest included dressers, hutches, and currently popular noodle boards. Also on hand outside was Heather Goddard with a business booth and the pumpkin décor station where those that took part painted a wood slab on one side to represent a pumpkin and the other side to represent a ghost before hot gluing on the stem and dressing it up with some decorative twine and burlap ribbon. In addition to the shopping and paint activities, community members were given a chance to visit and catch up with each other before the busy end-of-the-year time arrives. “We sincerely appreciate it,” shared Bloomers co-owner, Twila Barnette.
