LUSK – A little over a year ago, Patrick and Sarah Turner decided to move to Lusk and make it home. They opened the Coffee Hut on a wing and a prayer, and a little bit of experience for Patrick, hoping it would be a success, especially since it had been closed for some time.
Between the two of them, with great public interaction, good memories for names and a list of different drinks that is a mile long, they have made their first year a rousing success.
The two of them have assimilated themselves into the fabric of the town and have been welcomed with open arms. They installed some tables with umbrellas so you can get your morning coffee and sit and visit with others that are there, plus with the steady stream of cars, you end up saying good morning to most of
the town.
Winter or summer they are there with a smile, first name acknowledgement and your favorite blend of coffee and flavors. They have added local, fresh baked bagels and, from first-hand knowledge, the bagels are wonderful. They advertised a mid-week closure for one day and still had cars pulling into the window to get coffee with no one there. Now that is the measure of success.
