New luskherald.com launched

We at the Lusk Herald are excited to announce the launch of a completely overhauled website on April 1, 2017.

We’ve been looking forward to this day for several months, as a follow up to the redesign of the print product, and we wanted to share with you a few highlights of what to expect.

The new site will be responsive and designed to fit any screen, whether you’re on a desktop computer, a tablet or smartphone. Regardless of screen size, your mobile experience will be a lot better with no more zooming on your phone or tablet to navigate pages.

More news, all the time: With our current website, readers can only see a portion of the story and then had to click on a link to view the rest of the story. Not anymore. Stories will be posted in their entirety on the new site, along with clean, crisp photography. Along with that, all of our local stories that run in the print product will not be viewable online as well.

Readers will also have new ways to interact with us at the Lusk Herald, as well as friends and family across all forms of social media. Want to share one of our stories with your friends, it’s as easy as a click. Want to share a story on Facebook, also just a click away. Want to send us a comment on a story, post it right to our website. Keep in mind, comments will be monitored and users will be banned for inappropriate comments or behavior.

Trending and Just Posted: You’ll notice more features on the home page of the new site, including a trending section and a ‘Just Posted’ section to keep you up to speed with all the happenings in Niobrara County. We will continue to add stories or videos to the site on a daily basis.

Searching the site: Have a story in particular you are looking for, or a story written by a particular writer, just search it in the all-new search option and find it quickly. The search also works for obituaries.

Current subscribers will be able to log in with the same username and password.

If you subscribe to the print edition of the Lusk Herald, you’re eligible for unlimited access to the website and the e-Edition as part of your subscription. Click ‘Subscribe’ or contact us today at 307.334.2867 to get signed up today.

We’d love to hear your feedback. Leave us a comment on the site, visit us on Facebook, email publisher Rob Mortimore at rmort@torringtontelegram.com or editor Lori Himes at Lhimes@luskherald.com.
