LUSK – Although it was 8 weeks later than originally planned due to weather, Niobrara Strong Day proved that once again, nothing stops Niobrara County. Originally held in 2016 to celebrate Niobrara County’s recovering from devastating flooding in 2015, Niobrara Strong Day has been held in subsequent years as a celebration of the communities and people that call Niobrara County home.
Sponsored and organized by the Niobrara Chamber of Commerce, this day included inflatables, concessions, free swimming, and a movie at the pool in the evening.
Jackie Bredthauer, the Executive Director of the chamber estimates that over 50 children enjoyed spending time playing on the inflatables. While there wasn’t a way to gather information on total attendance for all events if social media is any reflection, the day’s (and evening’s) activities were enjoyed by many. The day ended with “The Meg” showing at the Tiger Plunge with snacks and floating chairs.
