Lusk’s own Lions Club, officially called the Lusk Rawhide Lions, was at Northside Park on Saturday to do a little digging. Lusk Rawhide Lions, which started just last year, has done a series of projects in Lusk including donations to Santa’s Helpers, a vision screening at Lusk Elementary Middle School, and just recently, the planting of a new tree at Northside Park. As the club is starting out, they are working closely with David Orr and John Harper, both Lions from Cheyenne. Orr was in attendance this weekend. Currently there are twelve members of the Lusk Rawhide Lions. President of the Club is Aaron Carr, Secretary is Amy Kinga, and Membership Treasurer is Harley Kingma. Per the club, Amy Kingma was the muscle behind the tree planting project.
