VOTER REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Pursuant to W.S. 22-3-102 (a) a person may register to vote not less than fourteen (14) days before an election, at any election specified in specified in W.S. 22-2-101(a)(i) through (viii) or as provided by W.S. 22-3-117 who satisfies the following qualifications:
• He is a citizen of the United States;
• He will be at least 18 years of age on the day of the next general election provided he shall not be permitted to vote until he has attained the age of eighteen (18);
• He is a bona fide resident of the State of Wyoming as determined in accordance with W.S. 22-1-102(a)(xxx);
• He is not currently adjudicated mentally incompetent;
• He has not been convicted of a felony, or if convicted, has had his civil or voting rights restored;
You may register to vote at the polls on Election Day or before voting absentee. Law requires you provide proof of your identity to register to vote. A WY driver’s license will fulfill this requirement. If you do not have a valid WY driver’s license, bring a photo I.D. with you to the polls.
ABSENTEE VOTING
Absentee ballots are available in the Clerk’s office through August 17, 2020. Ballots may be requested over the phone or in person. If requesting a ballot in person, you may take your ballot or vote it in the office.
If requesting a ballot for someone else, this office must mail the ballot to the voter or you must provide written permission from that voter to deliver the ballot to them. If you do not have written permission, you CANNOT take the ballot.
Absentee ballots WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT THE POLLING PLACES.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS MUST BE RETURNED TO THE COUNTY CLERK’S OFFICE NO LATER THAN 7:00 P.M. ON
AUGUST 18, 2020.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR MARKING A BALLOT
To vote, you must completely darken the oval at the left of the candidate of your choice. To cast a write-in vote, darken the oval to the left of the line provided and write in the person's name. If you make an error, return the ballot to the precinct official and request a new ballot. Use only black ink pens provided.
