LUSK - The Homemakers Spring Tea was a nice turnout celebrating 90 years of Homemakers. Claudia Swanson is Regional Homemakers President. She was a class act, involving everyone, and representing each County Homemaker so well.

The food was crescents with chicken grape salad and elegant desserts, and the decorations were so pretty with a Sunshine theme. The four 90 year ladies were honored with sunflower corsages.

The Creative Arts Contest had lots of excellent entries, lots of blue ribbon awards will go to the State Homemakers Meeting Creative Arts Contest at Gillette in June. Many 90 year old memories were shared.

Scholarship recipients joined our Spring Tea. Karen Alvis earned the well deserved non-traditional scholarship, and Jazmin Ladwig, and Larkin Williams earned the traditional scholarships. The Unsung Hero for Niabrara County will be revealed in June after State Homemakers meeting. Sunshine did come out at the Homemakers Spring Tea, 90 year Homemakers Celebration, Regional Homemakers meeting, and Creative Arts Contest.
