The Third and Final Reading of the following ordinances have been read at the Tuesday, July 7th, 2026 regular council meeting. Every ordinance shall become effective once published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation.
ORDINANCE NO. 11-5-200
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING EXISTING ORDINANCE 11-5-200. WHICH ESTABLISHES AMENDED GARBAGE AND REFUSE COLLECTION RATES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE TOWN OF LUSK, WYOMING:
SECTION ONE: That Ordinance 11-5-200 of the "Municipal Code of Lusk," is amended at sub-paragraph "(c)" and is adopted to read as follows:
(c) Categories and effective rates: (reflecting the annual 2% increase per Section two of this Ordinance and a one-time 6% inflationary increase for fiscal year 2026-2027 for a total of an 8% increase to take effect on July 1, 2026)
1. Residential, in Town limits…..$30.06 per month.
($36.49 for dumpsters)
2. Residential, outside Town limits….$34.02 per month.
($40.21 for dumpsters)
3. Commercial, in Town limits….$34.02 per month.
($40.21 for dumpsters)
4. Commercial, outside Town limits….$50.76 per dumpster, per month.
5. Service and gasoline stations, motels, hotels, campgrounds, headstart…$43.93 per dumpster, per month.
6. Restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, Yes Way, Dollar Store…..$57.59 per dumpster, per month.
7. Wyoming Women's Center….$57.59 per dumpster, per month.
8. Lusk Housing Authority..........$289.58 per month.
9. Ranger Apartments. …..$275.92 per month.
10. Royal Apartments…. $160.55 per month.
11. Extra weekend dumpster pick-up by request….$51.45 per dumpster or to correspond with current rate.
(d) (to remain the same without amendment)
SECTION TWO: An annual increase of 2% on each account in sub-paragraph (c) shall continue for each fiscal year unless otherwise Ordained by the governing body of the Town of Lusk.
All of the other provisions of Ordinance 11-5-200 not specifically amended hereby shall remain in full force and effect,
Upon final passage of this amended Ordinance the paragraph above shall be inserted in the “Lusk Municipal Code” accordingly.
This Ordinance was approved and passed on July 7, 2026.
