Today’s obscure holiday is: National Napping Day! Get your snooze on!

The Episcopal Church is hosting a free Mustard Seed Dinner on March 13 from 5-7pm. Members of the church will be serving some delicious soups.

The annual Homemakers Soup Luncheon will be at the fairgrounds on Wednesday, March 20th from 11m-1pm. Always very delicious soups as well.

The Senior Center is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Dance on March 15 at 5:30pm. They will serve a soup supper and dancing to “Boots and Saddles” starts at 6pm. $5.00 per person

Becky Clark Medical Benefit Dinner & Dance will be held at the Niobrara County Fairgrounds on March 16 at 6:00pm. Becky is awaiting a four-organ transplant, after being diagnosed with Chronic Pancreatitis in 2011, which led to many hospital stays, surgeries and aggressive stent therapies. The Benefit Committee made up of Cory and Becky’s friends and colleagues wish to help them with travel, housing, and medical expenses while Becky awaits her transplant. The event will include Dinner, Dance, Auction and a silent auction.

Four Point Pitch Tournament Rules: Four Points: High, Low, Jack, Game Low Saves Itself. Winners move towards table one and cut for partners. You may throw in and take set, but once a card is led you must play rest of your hand. High card deals. Shoot-the-moon- go forward 11 or back 11. Dealer may over-moon. Sets-$0.25.
