LUSK- Dan Irvin and his sister Kristi Irvin have been trying to get a jump on their spring cleaning by cleaning up their properties. They have been tearing down and burning old houses and buildings that they own in order to clear away any potential fire hazards.
Kristi stated that she had the house that had belonged to Bertha Stetson tore down and hauled off by Jim Jordan about three years ago. Next winter, Bertha’s sister’s house, also owned by Irvin, will be burned down. The city uses these controlled burns as training exercises.
It is the Irvin’s hopes that in doing this, it will spark others to start cleaning up their properties as well; improving the whole community.
