Kelli Chichester of the Niobrara County Extension Office was a guest of the school board and discussed ways that the 4-H program intends to support the four-day school week and programs that they hope to expand with the use of the Fridays for meetings and activities.
Ivy Palmer has tendered her resignation effective the end of the 2018-2019 school year. The board accepted her resignation
The bid from Arrow Electric IT for the LEMS wiring project was accepted.
Discussion was held regarding the Strategic Planning process. It was reported that the four-day alternative schedules had been submitted to the state and the district is now waiting for State Board of Education approval at the end of the month.
As the board moves through the staffing and scheduling process for the 2019-2020 year Mr. Larson, Business Manager for the district will provide data on staffing trends as compared to enrollment numbers for the board.
Board meetings will resume their 7 p.m. time starting with the April meeting.
