WRIGHT – The Niobrara County High School (NCHS) golf team competed at the Wright Fall Invite hosted by the Haycreek Golf Club on Friday, September 6.
The Niobrara County boys’ team fielded six athletes and placed fourth overall with 425 strokes. Niobrara County beat Upton, Ten Sleep and Tongue River.
With only one athlete representing Niobrara County in the girls’ division, NCHS did not place as a team.
Sophomore Hudson Leimser tied for fourth place in the varsity boys’ division, shooting 85 strokes. Fellow sophomore Aubrey Manning came in eighth place on the leaderboard with a score of 98.
In the girls’ division, junior Francheska Bannan took 16th place with a score of 150 strokes.
