Manville Improves Water System

MANVILLE Wyo - At the May meeting of the Town of Manville discussion was held regarding the new and improved water system. The current Manville water tank will still be standing tall, as it will not be taken down. This means that the old water tank will serve as a backup water source in case the new vessel needs maintenance. This will ensure the town of Manville’s residents will have access to their water during repairs. The new vessel will have a higher PSI than the residents may be used to. The new vessel will also be more user friendly and will have automatic features such as automatic chlorine injectors. A special thank you to the company Sunrise for their hard work in contributing to the new water vessel.

The city council decided on a consequence for residents in Manville, who are not paying their tap bill. Residents will be receiving a letter that states; if the tap is not paid for within 90 days their meter will be yanked and it will be $500.00 to re-install the meter. This letter will go out bi-monthly, if not paid, to keep residents reminded.

It has been decided that the Manville school will be closed for the winter, in order to save about $3,000 for the winter months. However, they will be willing to have it open for special occasions only. There will be necessary heat sources for the bathrooms in order to avoid frozen pipes. The school will be open May 1 and be closing October 1.

Donations and purchases have been revised and Logan concluded that they need more time for research, to make sure they are abiding by the Wyoming State statutes. Manville will continue their contract with Vista Beam, as it renews yearly. The second reading of the 23-24 budget was revised approved.

New Businesses: There is a new trailer RV park that has made its way to Manville. Mayor Richard Ladwig expressed his “excitement in regard to what this new park will have in store for their community.”

The meeting was adjourned at 6:44pm
