ORDINANCE NO. 9-10-100

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 9-10-100 TO CLARIFY WHAT APPROVAL IS REQUIRED TO OBTAIN A PERMIT TO KEEP ANIMALS IN TOWN LIMITS AND TO CORRECT PERMIT RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE TOWN OF LUSK, WYOMING:

SECTION ONE: Corrective language is necessary in sub-paragraphs (b) (5) and (b) (6) of Ordinance 9-10-100 to clarify the approval required to obtain and to renew a permit for keeping livestock in Town limits. Paragraphs (b) (5) and (b) (6) of Ordinance 9-10-100 are amended as follows:

            9-10-100. Keeping of Livestock within the Town Forbidden; Permit Process and Annual Renewal; Penalty.

            (b) (5) Before a permit is issued, every applicant for the same shall submit a written approval for such use signed by all landowners within 100 feet of the property for which the application is filed, along with a permit fee of $10.00.

            (b) (6) The permit as provided herein shall be for a period of 12 months and must be renewed on an annual basis, provided however, that approval of all landowners within 100 feet of the property for which the renewal is requested shall not be required for renewals unless an objection or complaint has been filed with the Town of Lusk by a landowner within 100 feet of the property which is the subject of the renewal.

SECTION TWO: All other provisions of Ordinance 9-10-100 shall remain the same.

The Third and Final reading of this Ordinance will be at the June 4, 2024 council meeting.
