CHEYENNE - The Lady Tiger cross country team made history on Saturday at Little America in Cheyenne.  The five Lady Tigers ran as a team in NCHS uniforms and finished in 6th place as a team against a field of over 60 runners. 

GREYBULL: Friday morning Niobrara County High School ventured to the Big Horn Basin for the first round of the 1A nine-man playoffs. The Tigers and Buffaloes met back in week three, with Lusk falling at home 50-24. By kickoff time at 6 p.m. the temperature dropped significantly, with NCHS putting up a good fight early on.

DOUGLAS – The Tiger Golf Team wrapped up the Fall 2025 Season on September 19-20 in Douglas. The 36 hole state event was hosted at the Douglas Community Club and the competitors were treated to two days of beautiful conditions. During the opening round, Juniors Hudson Leimser and Aubrey Manning shot 91 and 93 respectively to lead the Tigers.

LUSK – The Homecoming game last Friday had Pine Bluffs visiting Gibson Field at Fullmer Stadium. It was certain to be another tough challenge as the Hornets are the fourth ranked team in five weeks Lusk has faced. The Niobrara County High School defense kept them in check early-trailing by just seven after one period.

YODER – As noted last week, Teeters Field is typically not a place to make amends after an 0-3 start to the football season. But the Niobrara County High School Tigers had Southeast on their heels from the opening minutes last Friday night.

LUSK – The Lady Tiger high school cross country claimed runner up honors as a team on Thursday at the Gordon- Rushville Invite. Maci Lyons led the way again earning the silver medal in the race in a time of 20:18, breaking up the clean sweep for the home team. Hazel Gaukel moved up a place in the last 100 meters to claim 8th place. She ran 24:25 in a nice race as she continues to be competitive.

LUSK – The Niobrara County High School football team fell to 0-3 last Friday night against the Greybull Buffaloes. In last week’s Wyopreps coaches and media poll, Greybull was ranked fourth and will likely move up with Big Piney and Saratoga both losing.

LUSK – On Saturday afternoon the Lady Tiger volleyball team finally made their season debut in Tiger Gym. It was a rough afternoon for the young Niobrara County High School girls against an improved Guernsey-Sunrise squad.
